Just for Fun

GOODREADS CHALLENGE 2021

Last year was my first Goodreads Challenge and I decided to ease myself in by setting my goal to 12 books (with a twist!) I set out to read 12 books, in 12 different genres across 12 months! And it's probably no surprise to know that I completely my goal.

So this year I decided to go big or go home! I've set myself a goal of:

100 Books

Some of these I'll post reviews to but all of them I'll list below to keep track!

1. A Gathering of Shadows, by V.E Schwab
2. A Conjuring of Light, by V.E Schwab
3. Warriors of the Storm, by Benard Cornwell
4. The Lies of Locke Lamora, by Scott Lynch

#Book Stack Challenge

Just for fun I decided to try to Book stack Challenge on Instagram, check out the video about to see how I did! Don't worry all you book lovers who will watch in horror as the books fall in slow-mo style...I've got pillows in place to cushion their fall 😅 Have you tried the book stack challenge? How many did you get to?

Goodreads Challenge 2020
One of my big goals for 2020 was to read more. I LOVE my books. If I had to pick my favourite genres, I'd have to say Historical FictionCrime and Fantasy. I absolutely love being whisked away to a different world, or on an adventure or just to a past time, unlike the present. It's honestly the best form of escapism. But sometimes real life just pushes itself in the way and the idea of escaping into a good books gets - well - left on the shelve to gather dust.

It was only when I was moving house in January and I was packing up my suitcase full of books and I realised just how many of them I hadn't got round to reading! So I decided to join the Goodreads 2020 Reading Challenge. I have set myself a pretty easy goal of 12 books (1 per month) but I want to try and broaden the types of books that I read at the same time. So here's my challenge:

12 BOOKS

12 GENRES

12 MONTHS

Genres per month:

April: Humour

May: Crime

October: Horror

November: Fantasy

December: Romance
