About Me

Firstly, if you've clicked onto my blog - thank you! My name is Kim and I am an aspiring writer and avid reader from the beautiful little Island of Jersey in the Channel Islands. 

I started a book blog for two main reasons: the first is because at the age of 27 I've decided to knuckle down and get serious about being a writer and I thought what better way to encourage my own self-discipline in writing and connect with other like-minded writers than to blog about my journey as I hope to create my first novel. I'm sure there will be ups and downs and plenty of hurdles but hopefully, by sharing these I can learn and connect with others along the way. 

My second reason for starting a book blog is because I love to read. It's a pure passion of mine and when I finish a book that I have loved all I want to do is talk about it (much to the boredom and indifference of my family and friends), so I thought I'd post online to readers instead. 

So, with that in mind, I've decided to start a blog to share with you my love of reading, writing and hopefully provide some uplifting, positive thoughts on everyday things because I think in this day and age social media should be used as a positive force, not a negative one.
